At lake Attersee we are very much connected with the theme Gustav Klimt. The world famous painter and artist Gustav Klimt already recognized the beauty of the lake and so his most important artworks were created during his summer retreats at the lake Attersee. This shows the trail where numerous boards provide information on Gustav Klimt's visits to the region - including the focus on his landscape paintings.
